Our Story
Lake Lansing Baptist Church has been in Light for the Gospel in East Lansing for 65 years.
Our Beginning
Lake Lansing Baptist Church officially began on May 22, 1958, with 52 charter members. Fred and Dora Kaiser generously donated land to build, and the original wing was completed in 1960. The auditorium was completed in the 1970s. Through the years, we have had seven pastors, our most recent one coming to us in August 2023.
Our Identity
Lake Lansing Baptist Church is a conservative Baptist church holding to the fundamentals of the faith and firmly established in the inerrant view of Scripture. We are an independent church, not affiliated with any denomination or convention. We advocate a strong local church that is deeply concerned with the needs of Christian families. We have a commitment to our members, both young and old. While our ministry focuses on the needs of those God has brought into our membership and church family, we believe deeply in missions and support both foreign and domestic fields. Our goal is to grow in unity, as we individually commit to faithful service of Christ.
Our Mission
LLBC Mission Statement (Based upon Ephesians 4:12-13; 1 Peter 1:15-16):
Lake Lansing Baptist Church exists for God's glory.
By loving, praying, and assisting one another, we encourage all to live as followers of Jesus Christ.
We teach God's Word to grow Christ-like character, building unity in faith as we live exemplary lives, sharing this mission and the Gospel with our family, church, neighbors, and the world.
